How we work
How we deliver.
- 01
Before delivery
Opening soundings and temperatures of the receiving tanks and the barge, documents checked and the sampling arrangements agreed.

During delivery
Attendance throughout, with the MARPOL sample drawn continuously at the receiving ship’s manifold.
- 03
After delivery
Closing soundings and temperatures, quantities calculated to ASTM tables and compared with the BDN.

Report
Survey report with calculations and photographs, sealed samples and — where needed — a letter of protest.

Where do you carry out bunker surveys?
At Egyptian ports including Suez, Port Said, Alexandria and Damietta, and further afield through our partner network.
What happens if the delivery is short?
We record the difference against the BDN, issue a letter of protest to the supplier and give you the documentation you need to support a claim.
Which samples are taken?
The MARPOL Annex VI sample, drawn continuously at the receiving ship’s manifold, and commercial samples for the ship, the supplier and testing — all sealed and labelled.
Do you survey bunkers at delivery and redelivery?
Yes — on-hire and off-hire bunker (ROB) surveys are part of the service.
